About Tim

Hi,

I'm  Tim Sheppard

I’m a storyteller and storytelling coach, and I'm passionate about spreading storytelling to deepen connection:

  • I train storytellers to take themselves and audiences deeper, and also thrive through entrepreneurial creativity
  • I train changemakers and purpose-driven entrepreneurs to engage and lead movements with authentic storytelling

In 1990 I founded the popular storytelling performance company Wordweavers, and for over 30 years have trained storytellers in the art of presence and connection, through experiential play.

In 1995 I created the Storytelling FAQ: the largest collection of storyteller resources on the net, to spread storytelling. You can find that on this site, but be patient as I do a major revamp to make it easier to use!

In my work to spread the heartfelt values of traditional storytelling I've given keynotes at international conferences, coached small social enterprises and multinationals, and brought amateur and professional storytellers together across the world.

I now train people in being boldly human, to liberate their ability to light up audiences, captivate with heartfelt meaning, and save the world with stories.

I also love researching the deeper, darker fairytales and their ancient mythological origins and symbolism, to reveal what wisdom has resonated with humanity for millenia.

A visitor, wishing to be friendly, asked, "How many have you caught?" "YOU ARE THE NINTH," said Nasruddin.
